Branch 2.0 launched amid rising interest in cricket among youth
Facility to include bowling machine, two turf, three cement and one astro-turf wicket
Summer camp from April 1 at Maharana Pratap Chowk ground; registrations open
Bilaspur:
To provide better training opportunities for budding cricketers, Foundation Cricket Academy is set to open its second branch in the Sarkanda area of Bilaspur. The new Branch 2.0 will be established on a 70,000 square feet ground near Mark Hospital on the Kapil Nagar–Chantidih road.
The academy will offer cricket training for children from nursery level to various age groups with modern facilities. The training centre will feature two turf wickets, three cement wickets and one astro-turf wicket for practice. Players will also have access to a modern bowling machine. Experienced coaches and Ranji-level players will provide technical training to the students.
Expansion due to growing cricket interest:
Academy Chairman Prince Bhatia said the new branch is being launched as the academy completes 10 years of operations. Considering the growing population of Bilaspur and the increasing interest of youngsters in cricket, the academy decided to expand its facilities in the Sarkanda area.
For the past decade, the academy has been training players at its ground located at Maharana Pratap Chowk. Several players trained here have gone on to perform well at state and national-level competitions.
The new branch is expected to benefit children living in Sarkanda and nearby areas, who previously had to travel long distances for training.

Summer camp from April 1:
A summer cricket camp will also begin from April 1 at the Foundation Cricket Academy ground at Maharana Pratap Chowk. Players from different age groups will receive training in batting, bowling and fielding.
The camp will be conducted under the supervision of senior coaches using modern training techniques. Registrations have already started and seats are limited. According to the academy management, the summer camp has been organized regularly for the past 11 years and is open to both boys and girls.
