Bilaspur:
The Chhattisgarh High Court has once again warned petitioners against filing incomplete and ambiguous pleas, which waste judicial time. The bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Vibhu Dutt Guru rejected the interim relief petition filed by Hiralal Saxena, a resident of Ghaziabad, calling it vague, and imposed a fine of ₹2,000.

The petitioner had sought a stay on the proceedings of an FIR registered at Khambhardiha Police Station, Raipur. However, the court observed that the petition did not clearly specify the nature of relief sought. The court remarked that merely requesting a halt to proceedings is insufficient; the relief sought must be precise and explicit.

During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer sought permission to withdraw the petition to submit a revised application. While the court allowed the withdrawal, it imposed the fine, noting that the petitioner’s vague request and failure to correct it in time wasted the court’s valuable time.

Fine to be Donated to Special School:
The court directed that the ₹2,000 fine be given to a special school for mentally challenged girls in Narayanpur district. The registry has been instructed to collect the amount from the petitioner and transfer it to the institution.
